Verizon and Google to share network services: report

  • October 8, 2021

The two top U.S. wireless carriers are working to develop a unified wireless network that would offer speeds comparable to the top U,G, and J networks.

The two companies announced the agreement Monday in an announcement on the company’s blog.

“This agreement gives us a much better chance to bring wireless to the next level,” Verizon chief executive Lowell McAdam said.

McAdam’s company, the nation’s third-largest wireless carrier, is investing $100 billion in its network over the next decade to increase broadband speeds and provide better voice service.

Google is also looking at building out its own network of networks.

Google Fiber is also in talks to build out a wireless network in the U.K., according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

Verizon and Google’s wireless networks are expected to be similar in speed, capacity, and customer support, according to the two companies.

It’s not clear whether Verizon and/or Google will offer similar speeds and support, or if the companies will focus on other features, like video, that Verizon is trying to build into its wireless service.

Verizon’s wireless service is currently being rolled out through AT&T’s Nextel, which is owned by Verizon.

AT&amt also owns Time Warner Cable.

In a press release, the company notes that “The X10 provides the most advanced, most versatile, and most advanced streaming streaming video capability, as well as the fastest connection and data speeds in the industry.”

In terms of specs, the X10 features a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen with a resolution of 1440×900 pixels.

That’s a lot of pixels, but the device packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 5,600mAh battery.

This phone will be available in November, with pricing starting at $499.99.

The X10 is powered by the Snapdragon 830, with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2,800mAh battery, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

The company also promises that the device has a “slim and lightweight design” and is “fully compatible with all the latest Android phones, tablets, and smartwatches.”

The device will also be compatible with the HTC Vive, which is another smartwatt device that will be launching soon.
